    Dr. Mohammad Barakat

     Dr. Mohammad Barakat is an academic, a corporate strategist and techno-commercial executive with more than 25 years of multinational business experience. His areas of expertise include corporate strategy, human capital, corporate development, and international business development.

    Dr. Barakat held responsible position with reputable international employers including the US Department of State, the United Nations Peace Corps, Optimiza, Orange, MTG, and Al Imtiaz Islamic Investment. He also served as an advisor to several members of the ruling family in Kuwait and the Gulf.

    Prior to focusing his efforts on Consilium Advisory, Dr. Barakat chaired and participated in several advisory boards of startups in the Gulf region.

    Dr. M. Abid Masood, MRSC CCHEM CSCI - Vice President

    In addition to managing Consilium Advisory business pursuits across Europe, Dr. Masood serves as the Technical Director of the Halal Food Council of Europe (HFCE), one of the biggest halal certification bodies in Europe, based in Brussels. He also works as a scientific consultant at Aqix Ltd, E-therapeutics and Gene Solutions. He is a scientific reviewer for 6 international scientific journals, in addition to carrying out scientific due diligence to 2 VC funds, and he has over 18 years industrial experience in drug discovery, development and regulation (food and pharma).


    He holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry at Reading University and PhD in Natural Product Synthesis at Cardiff University. Dr. Masood won a fellowship at Oxford University where he worked with Professor Stephen G. Davies. Previously he worked as a medicinal chemist at Millennium Pharmaceuticals prior to joining Pfizer in Sandwich where he worked for 11 years.

    Robert Lewis, Affiliate Consulting Partner, Marketing & Communication

    Mr. Robert Lewis is a veteran of the media industry since 1989 when he began buying strategic billboard locations on European border crossings for a financial institution. A spell with British Transport Advertising in 1992 led to him being approached to join GMI, then an up-and-coming outdoor company in Bahrain. Over the following 10 years, he played an instrumental part in the growth and success of the GMI group, encompassing operational and development roles in the outdoor, airport, and transport advertising sectors. This included winning the advertising concession for Dubai International Airport, and its development into an advertising showcase offering some of the most attractive, lucrative, and sought-after advertising locations in the world.

    Mr. Lewis held several responsible positions with reputable Gulf organizations including the appointment as the Group GM of the Middle East Media Group where he carried out OOH media projects in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon, Bahrain, UAE), North Africa (Algeria and Egypt), the Far East (Philippines), and India. He also worked as the General Manager of the Abu Dhabi-based Viola Outdoor.

    In 2011, Mr. Lewis formed the Open Space Consultancy, offering OOH advisory and consultancy services uniquely based on current experience and “hands on” knowledge of recent operating conditions.     Ms. Faith Wright spent the last 15 years successfully forming and managing companies in the Satellite Communications, Telecom, Cellular, and IT sectors, and sourced funding and brokered several multi-milliondollar deals in the Gulf Region

    Some of the international companies she formed include MENA Telecom (www.menatelecom.com), a satellite services and telecom company serving the Middle East and North Africa, and IT Certificates and Licensing ITC-L (www.itc-l.com), a nationwide vocational school focused on teaching and testing IT certifications in the US.

    Norbert Majerus, Associate Consulting Partner, Management

    Beginning in 2005, Norbert has implemented a principles-based lean product development process at the three global innovation centers of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. For nearly a decade he has been Goodyear’s lean champion in research and development.

    Norbert, born and raised in Luxembourg, has a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the Universitaet des Saarlandes, Saarbruecken, Germany, and has worked most of the disciplines in the Goodyear innovation centers in Luxembourg and Akron.

    Norbert recently published his first book “Lean-driven Innovation,” and he has spoken at many conferences in the USA and other countries. The book was awarded the Shingo Research award in 2016. The Goodyear R&D organization received the AME Excellence award in 2016.
